      is the fourth one of the conference series on the Asian crisis in the late
      nineties. (For information about the previous three conferences held in
      Seattle and Tokyo, please visit http://faculty.washington.edu/karyiu/)
      Papers that analyze the causes and
      effects of the crisis, the recent recovery
      of these countries, and the economic
      relations between these countries and the rest of the world
      are most welcome. Papers for presentation can be either theoretical or
      empirical.
 If interested,
      please send (preferably by e-mail) by February 10,
      2002 a draft of your paper (or an extended abstract 300 – 500 
      words), together with your name, mailing and e-mail addresses,
      phone and fax numbers, affiliation and academic position to:

      participants are encouraged to find their own resources for traveling and
      accommodation, partial travel subsidies are available to a limited number
      of participants. If you want to apply for a subsidy, please state the
      amount requested and the lowest round-trip airfare between your city and
      Taipei, Taiwan.
