Special Issues in

Review of International Economics
Review of Development Economics

Two special issues for selected papers presented at the Hong Kong conference are being planned: one issue in the Review
of International Economics for theoretical papers, and one issue in the Review of Development Economics for empirical papers and papers that have direct empirical relevance.

People who presented a paper at this conference are invited to revise the paper and then submit it to the organizers for publication consideration in one of these issues. Because of the space constraint being facing, submitters are asked to make the paper as short as possible without compromising quality. Please send four copies of the revised paper, which is NOT being considered for publication elsewhere, to Kar-yiu Wong, Department of Economics, University of Washington, Seattle, WA 98195-3330, U.S.A. All submission must be received by October 15, 1997. [Submission by fax or e-mail will not be accepted.]

In the submission, please indicate which journal your paper is submitted to, based on the guidelines stated above.

All papers submitted will go through the regular refereeing process, and presentation at the Hong Kong conference does not imply publication in the issues. However, guarantee have been obtained from the editor that a paper submitted will be protected in the sense that if it is accepted but cannot be included in the special issue because of space constraint, it will be published in a regular issue.

Bjarne S. Jensen and Kar-yiu Wong are the guest editors of the special issue in the Review of International Economics, and Bjarne S. Jensen, Ngo Van Long, and Kar-yiu Wong are the guest editors of the special issue in the Review of Development Economics.
